Freestyle Weaving – a half or full day workshop

Immerse yourself in a world of yarn colour and texture and discover the tranquil therapy of weaving. The looms will be threaded ready for you to start weaving and exploring yarn combinations and weave effects. All yarns provided, but you are welcome to bring any on your own.

Paint a landscape with yarn and create weaving inspired by your favourite landscapes or garden.

Option to have a half day workshop with looms threaded ready to start weaving or a full day workshop where you learn to design a warp, thread your own loom and weave for the remainder of the day.

All yarns provided but you are welcome to bring any of your own and also bring photos of your favourite landscapes.

A full day workshop weaving on Ashford looms to create your own set of table mats and / or runner.

A workshop all about reusing fabrics, creating your own yarns and cords and weaving them into something new!

You will have fun learning to spin using a drop spindle to transform old fabrics into yarn to make new things eg table mats, table runners or even rugs.

All equipment and materials provided, although you are welcome to bring any old fabric you may wish to recycle. (Please note that weaving at this workshop is done on card looms, not the Ashford looms)
